Bag Sort

Only supports the main backpack at the moment

Install:
  1. Extract to: <Install Path>\Data\Gui\Customized

Sort Order:
Primary Sort:
  1. = Weapons
  2. = Equipment
  3. = Consumables
  4. = Mission Consumables
  5. = Mission Items
  6. = Crafting Items

First Fallback: Rarity
Second Fallback: QL
Fourth Fallback: Stack Size
Fifth Fallback: Alphabetical

Known Issues:
  • Sort button can end up on top of other buttons if bag is skinny.
  • It takes multiple presses to sort everything thoroughly.
1.0.1 - fixed alpha sort being backwards
1.0.0 - initial push

I've been on hiatus from tsw for several months, and I'm trying to get my mods together, and I see that most devs have centered around distributing their archives with a /Flash folder, and are putting ALL files into /Flash/AddonName, instead of putting them in /Customized/AddonName.

I know that technically, tsw will pull files from anywhere in the /Customized folder, but for ease of installation (think World of Warcraft addon installation), I'll continue trying to get any of you nice devs doing mods for this game to try to conform to the standardized format of /Flash/AddonName/{insert charprefs, modules, readme & .swf files here}. As it stands, lining everything up the same way involves tiresome editing of the modules.xml files (at least we can have more than one!).

Thanks. ~Fake

Similar issue here, after using bag sort I've had instances of the wrong icon graphic appearing on items (runes showing when it's an ambrosia etc etc)

If you've installed the game to C:\Program Files\Funcom\The Secret World\

the folder you want to extract the two folders in the zip to is:

C:\Program Files\Funcom\The Secret World\Data\Gui\Customized

so it should look like

C:\Program Files\Funcom\The Secret World\Data\Gui\Customized\Flash\BagSort.swf
C:\Program Files\Funcom\The Secret World\Data\Gui\Customized\BagSort\CharPrefs.xml
C:\Program Files\Funcom\The Secret World\Data\Gui\Customized\BagSort\Modules.xml
BTW its much better if you move the swf into the subfolder as well. The it is completely self contained. Its easy to do just by changing the location of the "movie" in the xml file.

i was gonna try and add it myself but i can not edit swf files.
so i was hoping when you have time if you would do that?

Yeah the button was a bit annoying but I don't see a way around it either.

These are the top level item categories. I like you're idea of sorting next based on sub category so I'll work on adding that asap.

_global.Enums.ItemType.e_ItemType_CraftingItem
_global.Enums.ItemType.e_ItemType_MissionItem
_global.Enums.ItemType.e_ItemType_MissionItemConsumable
_global.Enums.ItemType.e_ItemType_Weapon
_global.Enums.ItemType.e_ItemType_Chakra
_global.Enums.ItemType.e_ItemType_Consumable
_global.Enums.ItemType.e_ItemType_None

I'm aware that it takes multiple presses right now to get everything sorted out properly, that is also on my to do list. Though I'm not sure how to solve the problem of a skinny bag. I need to put the button somewhere.

Also, would it be possible to have an additional subsort to group together like subtypes like pistols next to pistols for example, and wrist talismans next to wrist talismans.

Not sure if that is doable but it would be real nice.

Ok so I just tried this out and it seems to have some issues sorting depending on how big my visible bag is.

Normally I run with my main inventory a skinny tall window, running nearly full height of my window but only about 4 or 5 slots wide. When I started up I saw the sort button, sitting on top of my Pax total, so it was covering that information. Next I clicked Sort and it, sort of sorted. My weapons got sorted up top but the rest of my stuff was really just moved around, not really sorted.

I then made the window a bit wider and hit sort again. This time it did a much better job, though still not completely sorting properly.

For my last attempt I made the window really wide, like half my screen, and then clicked sort. This time, finally it sorted properly.

So it seems to have issues sorting based on the width of the inventory? In all tests, my inventory window DID have enough visible slots to contain all my items. The only difference was how wide it was.

EDIT: After more testing, it WILL sort in the narrower bag sizes, IF you click the SORT button multiple times. Each time you click it sorts a little better until it finally reaches "maximum sort" lol.

Pretty cool and I kind of like that it only works on the main inventory since I do some manual sorting into other bags.

Any chance this can get brought up to date with the latest "format" of installing mods into their own subfolder?

LOVELY!

I flipping love the idea! I may even give this strange, "single bag" inventory you speak of a try.
